Nara is the capital of Japan’s Nara Prefecture, closed to Osaka & Kyoto. The city has significant temples and artwork dating to the 8th century, when it was Japan’s capital. Deer roam in Nara Park, site of Tōdai-ji temple. Daibutsu, Tōdai-ji’s 15m-high bronze Buddha, is displayed in a large wooden hall. On the park’s east side is the Shinto shrine Kasuga Taisha, which dates to 768 A.D. and more than 3,000 lanterns

Itinerary

09:30 Departure Kyoto Station
**We will inform you exact pick-up time 2~3 days before
Meet at Kyoto Station (at “Rajomon Model” in the public square of North Exit)
Go to Nara by train

11:00/ Arrive at Nara Station  
We go for sightseeing spots on foot.

11:30-12:30/ Kasuga Taisya
Kasuga-taisha is the Shinto shrine of the Fujiwara family, established in 768 CE and rebuilt several times over the centuries. The interior is famous for its many bronze lanterns, as well as the many stone lanterns that lead up the shrine 

12:30-13:00 Nara Park
You can meet cute deer in Nara park (Actually you can meet them near Kasuga Taisya and Todaiji as well)
Please do not feed deer in front of shops on the way to Todaiji. Please do in the park only.

13:00-14:00/ Todaiji Temple
Todai-ji is a Buddhist temple complex that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, located in nearby Nara park. Though it was originally founded in the year 738 CE, Todai-ji was not opened until the year 752 CE

16:00-17:00/ Get on a train for Kyoto from Nara
1-hour ride takes you back to Kyoto.

17:30/ Arrive back to Kyoto Station
